Persekutuan Tanah Melayu,  selepas Merdeka, diperakui secara sebulat suara ke Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu. Perwakilan Malaya, Tun Dr. Ismail membuat ucapan pertamanya ke Perhimpunan Dunia.

The Federation of Malaya, soon after Indepedendence, is admitted unanimously into the United Nations. Malaya's representative Tun Dr. Imail makes his first address to the World Assembly.
